Selale Charity Association (SCA)

Selale Charity Association (SCA) is a distinguished charity founded on compassion values, with special focus on Selale Community and will move forward to reach-out needy people around the world. It was initiated by well-educated and compassionate, who were living dispersely and working in different sectors and organizations but still have burning desire to change the livelihood of the community their environment they were from. Selale Charity Association was born in 2022 with proclamation 1113/2011 following the burning desires, to serve people, who are in need, with special focus on Selale community, so as to enhance their social status through proper all-inclusive intervention that is-in education, health, social aid, Capacity building, good governance, environmental related problems.

The charity initiated and emerged to solve Selale people’s deep-rooted socio-economic and environmental issues and ensure their better and prosperous lives through strengthening and supporting their effort and realizing the robust cooperation among local actors and sustainable resource mobilization.

Selale Charity Association structured with Board, Executive body, Finance and Audit Team, Strategy and Planning Team, Education and Training Team, Social Affairs Team and others more teams. Its structures extend from board to woreda level whereby many activities of the charity will be executed. The replica of Selale Charity Association was formed at each woreda and through them the objectives of the charity be materialized. The Charity is found with an intention to sensetievly feel and identify grassroot-needy peoples’ problems and constraints and react to it and also create a conducive situation for other stakeholders; and urge concerned body to be responsive to their real need. The charity mainly focused humanitarian aid and relief, social development (art, culture and history), economic growth; education and training; environmental and natural resource conservation; good governance and building cooperation among local actors. We are designing the realistic, enhanced and efficient funding through implementing new technology and we will build on these foundations over the next three years of this plan.
